The rest of our time in Arbatax

... all over our patio area and it was so pretty. I definitely wish I could bring one of those trees home with me, but I don't even have to check to know that wouldn't be allowed.

We managed to book a shuttle directly through our resort that would take us to the Cagliari airport (about 2.5 hour drive) and from there we got a taxi from the taxi stand by the arrivals that took us to our hotel in Cagliari. It was by far the easiest transportation day we've had all trip.

... the director. He told me I needed to go to the bank that owned the ATM and stuck me in a van with one of the welcome staff to take me there.

The bank was in another town completely, Tortoli, and unfortunately the guy who was driving me there didn't know where it was. If you've never been to Italy I can assure you that the roads are not always clear and it's pretty confusing. He stopped to ask for directions a few times and eventually ...

Our first full day in Arbatax

Our first full day in Arbatax was pretty good and we spent the majority of our time at the spa and wellness centre at the resort. We had paid the extra money for admittance when we booked, and had fallen in love with it.

We had to catch a semi-hourly bus from our hotel within the resort up through the wildlife park and to the spa. The wildlife park there was wonderful and it was just wide open space that extended up the mountain and around the spa. ...

We decided to leave Rome a day early and head to Sardinia for the last leg of our European vacation. Our last morning in Rome we went back to Vatican City to check out the line to Saint Peter's Basilica to see if we could get in but unfortunately, it was the largest line we had seen yet. Instead we just took in the view for a couple of minutes and headed back to the hotel to pack up.

... but "Gratsi"... were very welcoming, helpful and helped me be more decisive about my meal choices when I couldn't decide...aka they chose for me. In italy so far I've tried some interesting foods which include but not limited to: -

- Melon and Procuitto (yes what a weird combination but somehow works)
- Sebadas, which is a sardinian cheese pastry with various fillings. The one I had was citrous and honey
- Numerous pizzas, and I can eat ...
