      Pigs in Spain are big business, and pollo (chicken). Industrial scale factory farming appears to be favoured, with the animals spending their entire lives inside sheds. If you favor red meat you will have to search for it. As for Asian food, forget it, it’s not on their radar over here.

      We packed up early and headed off. Went through a lot of tunnels along the coast of Italy and then turned inland. The scenery changed dramatically to flat rural countryside. I had about 2 hours of long straight motorway with absolutely no traffic. Pure bliss !!! We then hit the Italian alps and there was more tunnels and windy roads. The scenery was amazing, I even got to see a fair bit of it today as the traffic was so light. ...
