Paul's training has kicked in. The Ironman in Copenhagen is on 23rd August. Paul went up the valley this morning (on another beautiful day). We zipped to the weekend market and then headed off to Geneva to get a new rental car. We haven't found a car to buy yet, so need to take back our rental and exchange for a smaller version. Unfortunately the first rental car got dinged in the side (car park ding, we think). This ...

We whipped out to Lac de Passy, which is the only swimming lake we have found (Laurant at the bank told us about this place). It was filled with locals and being Saturday there was extra activity. ...

Indeed when we arrived at Saint-Gervais-les-Bains on Saturday it was still missing behind clouds and rain. Those weather conditions continued on Sunday, but when we woke up on Monday, we were amazed to find our house surrounded by tall, snow covered mountains.
    It took us ages ...

... day making up for the not so brilliant yesterday. We also spotted at he side of us and a few doors down 2 campers very similar to ours, our neighbour from Ireland and the other from Wales. We decided last night to head to Luxembourg via a quick stop on the German border to 'Saarbruken' where a film 'A bridge to far' was made somewhere in the area about Germans attempting to blow up the bridges crossing over the River Rhine. Rich wasn't exactly sure the location and the ...
