      ... guests ready to depart. Yep, making sure they are packed, have returned hire gear and that they have car keys and passports etc for tomorrows journey. And we have to check again in the morning.

      ... that there is a national day of mourning in France today for those that were killed in a terrorist attack in Paris. Twelve people were killed. A policeman also was shot in a different village. Very sad. The news tonight was very focussed on it.

      Back in the apartment, Daddy took Brody and Marni back to the pool again and into the steam room. I started to get us ready for our flight home tomorrow and made our own vin chaud.

      Oops, no notes again! Refuge Elena quite new and modern. Large dorms but partitioned into bunks of 4. Located on a high ridge overlooking the valley, where we had a long break and arvo tea. Met some interesting groups of Italians, see the funny hats. It seems that all of Italy has these 2 weeks off, so the trails and refuges are full. Dinner in a lovely dining room, food pasta as usual. ...

Katrina and I rode the ski lift up to the top of the mountain - something much more disconcerting when there's a fifty foot drop onto a concrete carpark rather than lovely soft looking snow.       ... mother of two darling angels and wife to a wonderful man? I had, today, very much a sense that my life had come full circle and in doing so felt an enormous sense of fulfilment. We strolled along the lake and visited Parc du Grange which is constituted by sprawling lush green gardens and a historic mansion (Saskia thought that Cinderella might have a ball there).
