    Our last five days were spent driving our little Renault Clio south through the high Alps to Cannes and Provence France. We would pick up a bag of Baguettes, some Camembert Cheese, fruit, and a bottle of Bordeaux wine. We could could picnic in the day time and party at night. We stayed in a set of motels/hotels called Etap. They provided a businessman's style hotel that was basic, clean and comfortable. They seemed to be set up all over France.

    The TGVs through France are so cool. Only a few hours to get from Lille in the North of France to Marsailles. They fly when they're on the specific TGV tracks. I slept most of the way but woke up about 2 hours out of Marsailles and was glad I did because the scenery was remarkable. Vistas of fields backed by large cliff faces.
