    Good evening, Yesterday evening I arrived in Bordeaux on the train from Paris. I was expecting quaint wine town, but was disappointed to find sketchy, drunken college town. A place I felt the need to clutch my bag tighter and try not to make eye contact with anyone. I dropped my stuff at the hostel then went out again towards the direction of the main street.     ... apparently, a hotel! I ran up to the top so I could take photos, no easy task, as walking in deep sand is very good exercise indeed! Luckily there was a set of stairs and a rope handrail for going up, and I plunged through the sand barefoot on the way down, quite fun, actually!
