      ... path leading to pirates cave. After lunch he was determined to do this, I let him go and got comfy by the pool. He arrived back an hour or so later, extremely sweaty, mumbling something about 189 lung busting steps. He says the tread on the steps was double the normal size. So glad I didn't go.       Well today was the end of the Italian part of our trip, and the start of the very small French part. We left Sardinia on a ferry at 3.30 this afternoon. We've done a lot of ferries this trip..Lake Como ( about 4 or 5), mainland Italy to Sardinia, Sardinia to Corsica. Its really second nature to me now driving on and off boats.       ... some good looking performers! Stew managed to prove that he is his mothers son and bought ridiculously priced noisy flashing toys for the kids. After watching the Hawks win the Grand Final (Stew says this deserves a whole new blog) early Saturday morning on Stews little laptop we drove up into the mountains (1500m).       ... to middle age.
      For all except graham the mountain scenery was spectacullar. He said all he could see was the white line when we had one, in the middle of road.
      Arrived at Corte - staying at different hotels. Thunder and lightening and heavy rain. Waited a while for it to subside then g&j dropped us off at our hotel.
