... 3-mile climb at +7%. During tonight’s meeting I really started to feel run down. My attack on the last climb followed by hanging out atop a hot mountain was starting to catch up to me. After the meeting I ate a big dinner and left the restaurant quickly. I was worried that I wouldn’t feel good the next day. I think my blood sugar was low because after I ate and rested in the room for a bit I felt much better. Now it was off to bed to rest up for another big day of climbing. ...

I feel pretty good on the rides. In Austin Rich, Ray and I had been riding at a
much harder intensity and climbing much steeper hills. We don’t have the length
by any means but so far it seems to have paid off. I think tomorrow will be a
test as we are climbing the mighty Col de Galibier.
I wish I could post pictures but the Wi-Fi is extremely

Anyway, I got to the start line on time - dead straight forward, I found my group easily Unfortunately Chris and I were in different start groups I was in group 3 and Chris was in group 12 with a 1hr start difference. A beautiful warm morning, no sign of any clouds or rain....that's better than last year.
