So, I've been here a week now. I feel a little bit lost as I'm very much ready to go out and do something and explore and adventure every evening, but because of our location, it's quite difficult to do without relying on someone here that has a car, which is only 2 people. I drove up the mountains to the ski resorts as part of work. I got to see exactly where we would be skiing and it was amazing! Unfortunately, there's no snow yet but we're ...

So, I've officially moved to The Alps for around 6 months. It is so cold I can't even believe it and there is no snow. My first day at work was painfully tedious and I spent the full day folding tea towels but I guess someone has to do it. Not much to report, nothing exciting has happened yet. We're pretty much in the middle of nowhere, with our apartments about ...

... some were going down the glacier (and ending up at the Mer de Glace where we visited yesterday) and others were going down the mountain "off piste". They were launching themselves out a special tunnel and then had to navigate carefully along a ridge to start their journey.

The view of Mont Blanc was stunning. It is the highest mountain in Europe, standing at 4810m above sea level. It was huge and majestic and so close to us that we felt like we were nearly on the same ...

... melts, more steps are added. It is melting

We walked inside the glacier and it was cold, quiet, still, eerie and quite an awesome experience. Especially when you realise the whole thing is moving down the valley at 1cm an hour and you are inside with all your family! They had carved through the ice to make a tunnel and a cave, which was lit up with various coloured lights and it made the ice look amazing. There ...
