We are, of course, on the Route des Grandes Alpes. As a result, there are a number of cols (passes) that have to be, well, passed. So today, we did our best. In order, these were| Izouard 2360 metres Lauteret 2205 Galibier 2642 L'Iseran 2770 Cornet de Roselend 1968 So we spent much of our day negotiating multiple hairpin bends either going up, or the reverse. Today was all about the rowing because it was the day of Curtis' final. Brad wanted to set off extra early to get a park and seat on the stand. It was obvious that he was very nervous too. Today we decided to explore the area with a morning run. We had been putting it off because the area was so hilly but we managed a 5km run without too many hills. The worst part was the last 500m back to our house because it was super steep! We went to the rowing for the morning. Today was Curtis' semi final so the Rapley's were a little nervous. They didn't have the best finish and ended up coming in third. They ...

... French restaurant and had an amazing meal there. This region utilised soft cheeses much more than we ever saw in Paris or Bordeaux. They had meals, such as cheese fondue and grilled camembert. I had a cheesy meal, similar to potato bake and Adam had a chicken paella-like dish. We got home after a supermarket visit to find the others now home. We stayed up and chatted for a bit and then headed to ...
