    Have arrived at Bourg St Maurice, found a hotel with good wifi, and are catching up. Tomorrow its Petit St Bernard in to Italy, then Grand St Bernard into Switzerland, and then Bormio, Furhka and Stelvio passes.

    We are slowly wandering South. The aires in Savoie are not wonderful. Some are just scraps of land where the commune has put a Borne for which you have to buy tokens or taped off the electric points. We left Challes and drove just 30 km to La Cheylas. Reasonable aire, but noisy. Trains about half a mile away across a field and right next to a busy road. We only stayed for a night. Now we are at a campsite right on a lake.     ... conned by a girl offering what looked like a petition for disabled to sign (you know, with illegible names, addresses and signatures), however she then pointed to a column which was donation so I gave her a Euro which didn't please her much. We do give regularly to charities of our choosing but I have my suspicions that this type just goes straight into the individual pocket?
    There is a cable car up to the bastille (fort) which was very steep indeed but if it's held up ...

    ... growing right then: petits suisses, Cheeses from Savoy, croissants, Lemon Meringue Pie, Paupiettes de Veau (Little Stuffed Parcels of Veal Fillet), Mashed Potatoes, Apple Tart on a Brioche, Meat Stuffed Veggies, Rice Salad, Pastries from my childhood, Pasta Salad, yeah, that was only in a few days, haha!

    I practiced Pilates every day, and ran by the Arc (a beautiful, wild river that runs through the Maurienne Valley) to feel a bit better about my diet!
