On Sunday morning I went to worship at St Alban's church. I go to this one every time we are visiting but because there is often a year or two between visits I cannot expect them to remember me. I am always made to feel very welcome and this time was no exception. There was only a small congregation as this was the holiday weekend and lots of people will have gone away. And then it snowed!!
On Friday evening we went to see a stage version of White Christmas at the Syracuse Stage. On the same evening the Christmas tree was being lit in Clinton Square and although the timing did not allow us to attend both events we drove past the tree and all the other lights in the city on the way home.

Everything was taken out and scrutinized (thank goodness the clothes were clean!) and finally it transpired that the suspicious item was an almost finished tube of toothpaste that I had not put into the plastic bag. This is a big trip: I wasn't going to argue about a couple of toothbrush fulls of Colgate so it got binned.
