We arrived at Kuantan at 7.30 in the morning. The bus station is a horrible white modern building outside of the city, so we bought ...

Got up and was at the pier just after 8am to catch the Ferry back to Mersing. We thought it would have been a lot quieter on the boat as it was earlier and on a Saturday but it was packed! The Ferry arrived at 8.40 and we got to Mersing just before 11.30. We had to catch the 12 o'clock bus to Kuantan, which ended up being an hour late!! Then we got another bus from there to Cherating. We got dropped off on the main road so we had to walk down to where all the Guesthouses ...
