... there is only ONE Starbucks that is miles from my gate. So I'm relying on sheer willpower alone to keep myself up until I get to Chicago.

This whole wifi thing is also going to be pretty tricky. Airport wifi sucks and using my LTE hotspot is going to eat up a HUGE chunk of my data plan so we'll see just how often I'll be able to blog while in transit.

    Spirits are high! Until Chicago--

We woke up, went straight to the coffee machine, ate breakfast and showered. Uncle Rob was working, so we packed our things up quietly and prepared some road trip snacks. ... help with securing line, something we greatly appreciated. After settling in, we ate at the marina's restaurant. Big mistake. It was probably the worst food and service we had the entire trip. But, the location and view could not be beat.

In spite of the bad restaurant, Halifax Marina was one of the nicest marinas we had experienced in a long time. We had a great slip. There were no boats in front or behind us and we were on the end of a T dock so we could leave ...

... we headed for a multi-day stop in Lake Worth.

In a former life (1988), DH found herself as a solo traveler going to a Club Med beach resort to meet men/beefcakes, and she found herself in cahoots with Pat W who was on a similar quest. Irresponsible drinking cemented the friendship. Despite having seen each other only twice since then, they have stayed in touch and apparently a full day at the beach in a rented cabana was required to ...
