      I've been to a lot of ski towns in the Alps over the past five years and I must say the ski town of Chamonix was by far the best I've been to. I'm afraid I can't say the same thing about ski pistes. There were four ''domaines skiables'' and we haven't had time to explore all of them. So we decided to ski in Brevent Flegere and Les Grands Montets ...

      ... had the time of his life. He is at one with this magnificent car.

      The St Bernard pass is very cold but stunning in its
      desolation. Lots and lots of motorbikes on the roads and all of them giving us
      the foot wave as we let them through on the tiny twisting road. We return to
      our chalet to shower and change, we have been invited next door for drinks. Louise and Jamie are the most fantastic

      ... at the mercy of someone who was nothing more than an A-hole. So were sucked it up, hoisted our bags and began to hoof uphill. Thankfully we ran across a fit old gal walking her dog who, of course "didn't speak English" but could clearly articulate how to get to the Domaine du Burignon up on the hill. She, by the way, also had to say "OOeeuucch" or something representing her feeling about the walk ahead of us..above us...
