Today we decided to take a day trip over the Switzerland. The mountains were calling me shall we say. It ended up being a 350km round trip with our little side steps along the way. We thought that it would be an open boarder into Switzerland like the one near Tirano, boy were we wrong! We were grilled by the Swiss Guard on the way in "what is the purpose of your travel into Switzerland " "where are you going" "how long are you staying" Then on the ...

Just a few photos from the Ski holiday so far - won't bore you all with tales of daring red runs, lost snow chains (thankfully not this year, so far) or off piste escapades, but the attached photos are a way of sharing our holiday with family and friends ... ... was winter like, and in Chamonix it was in the 60's. The town of Chamonix reminded me of a ski town like any I have visited in the United States. There were a lot of ski related stores, and if we had time, I would have loved to ski down Mont Blanc.

After leaving the mountain, we had another 2 hour bus trip back to Geneva. The bus dropped us in an area across the city from our hotel. Most of us ...

... mountain. Now we had lunch at this little cafe called La Petite Kitchen and I thought we were going to have a small light lunch. I was then surprised to see that we were having steak which I was definitely not expecting. It was a little rare as far as being cooked but was still a very good steak with dessert and everything. After this lunch we went back to Geneva for another smaller tour with Emilie guiding us. We then ...
