... streets with cobbled ground leading to as yet unexplored shops and cafés. We strolled along the front and then up the hill behind the buildings to see view. Sampled the gelato, had to be done! Strawberry and coffee, not together! Then came down the narrow cobbled street stopping off at a wine shop. The shop had bottles open that you could sample and man was so helpful. ... at Google Maps, I noticed that there was a walking track that appeared to lead to the other side of the peninsular, so once the gelati was consumed/dropped/melted, we started the next adventure. The path was lined, on either side, with 6ft walls of green shrub/creeper which was very common around Como. ... again equally busy. I think all 80,000 Lugano'ites turned up for lunch and this time it had a distictly German feel with umpa bands, sourkraut and a range of other not so appetising foods on offer.
