      ... Hansen etc.) colorful restaurants and bars. The only downside was that due to ''extreme'' snow conditions we couldn't take the Mont Blanc train nor could we see the Montenvers Mer de Glace.
      To sum up, I must say I wouldn't recommend Chamonix as a must-see but it's a nice town to spend a few days but definitely not the best place for skiing. ...

      ... and look very picturesque. In Annecy, we wandered around sans carte like genuine world travelers, and actually managed to do well on our own.       ... the outdoor bars were magic. The locals with their rugged up designer fashion dogs mostly silky terriers and the traditional horse and cart made this town something you would only ever expect in either a Disney or romantic film.

      ... The road winds beside a huge mountain lake and the panorama is mind blowing with snow on the very tops of the mountains behind the lake. Tiny villages are dotted all along the lake and it looks just like a postcard it is so beautiful.
