... br>Hotel was fantastic. 5 star luxury with sauna and steam room, which I enjoyed. Roof top pool overlooked the Mediterranean coast line. Ferrari's frequently pulling up out front with people arriving to gamble at the casino (the hotel has its own and is right next door to the main Monte Carlo casino). €500 notes being handed over at casino tables.
I went to the main casino on one night with high expectations. It was v quiet. Probably ...
... committed by kids. except using much smaller words. maybe at least they'll think i'm older than i look now?
btws when asked my age i replied, a true lady never reveals her age. my 2 faves in the class laughed at that one. at least someone got my jokes!
and tomorrow?
another day of very early rising to greet the bus, and go to a class that i may or may not actually have.(thanks eve)
looks like i've got my work cut out for me.....
... the most beautiful boats in the world are in MonteCarlo...
Language is more interesting in france. If we try to do the simple tourist things then most people can work out what is going on but when we try something else eg. going to the doctor (sue has been sick) going to a chemist.. or finding a Laundamatt.. then the language thiig is a bit more animated....
have some grat pics of Nice and French Rivierra to show when we get home...
... blue/green shutter doors. i feel all french like whenever we open and close them.
so tomorrow is my first day of school for real. eek. little nervous, its a class of terminal and then the professional school. definite potential for them to be older than me. oh *****, i already look like im 12 haha.
yet another part of this lovely adventure!

Well, I am writing this entry from Switzerland. Sitting at the Geneva airport. My flight from Barcelona to Geneva (to connect onto a flight to Nice) was delayed and then delayed again which meant I missed my connecting flight. Was originally angry about this cause I have lost a day of travel time, but it has given me the opportunity to sort some photos and begin my Monte Carlo relax period. Was fortunate that there was a later flight with seats available and that ...
Monaco, Monaco travellingross... hunting on Saturday isn't too good, no one seems to be around to talk to. Pete and Jack come back with their diner, they plug in their phones to charge with our electrical plug. Afterwards we spend some time talking about Everest and some of our other travels with them.
Tonight there is a jazz/rock band playing at the bar. I will check it out on my way to do some blogging.
... commute to Moncaco to work every day and there are always jobs available in the hotels and casinos. So many people commute to Monaco because it is very expensive to live there. One square meter of land can be 15,000 to 25,000 euros. That means a small flat would be about 1 million euros. You can transfer that to US dollars yourself. Why is it so expensive? Because everyone wants to live in Monaco because there are no taxes! Monaco used to be entirely dependent on it's ...
Antibes, Provence, France k1thomas... friends is on right now, I wish I knew what it was saying! Then my roommate and I found that we had wireless internet if we sit on one of our couches. We are all sitting there, writing to our friends and family. That's it for now, I'll let you know anymore. Also, my address is different from the one I gave before. It is actually 29 Boulevard Marechal Foch 06600 Antibes, France. My phone number is also different and I will get back to you when I have it.
Antibes, Provence, France k1thomas... we heard the announcement "Due to technical problems, this train (an Intercity major long-distance train, mind you) will not be stopping in MILANO CENTRALE and will instead stop at Milano Lambrate (in the far-flung suburbs)." Our jaws dropped. Anyway, this German guy had been on the train the whole time with us and tagged along with us to figure out how to get to Nice (where he was also, randomly, going). He ...
Antibes, Provence, France viaggiatore87Finally the day that Attila has been waiting for! We're off to the Riviera to enjoy the sunshine and surf. But first we had to get there. We decided that we could avoid paying the Freeway tolls by taking smaller highway and side roads. Attila enjoys driving on those road more anyway and I can actually saty awake, unlike travelling via freeway. However, we did not anticipate that this was a long weekend in France and ...
