Eli was just coming out of the hotel as Kyria and I walked up so that was good timing. We wouldn’t have been able to enter if he had left. We went inside and showed Eli some photos of the things we had seen. He had managed to complete the tests he needed to get done so he was happy.

... beautiful. It was finished being built in 1910 and the finish is pretty flash. The short answer for the rest of the night was that Kevin & I both lost money on the tables then went and sat at an outside table and paid 15€ each for a pint of beer. Was that dear, yes but where else can you sit and watch an endless line of playboys in their expensive cars cruise around with the obligatory blonde model in the passengers seat. ...

... all cleared up.. So we were facing an unknown amount of time on a stranded train in the middle of nowhere! But thankfully, it was cleaned up a lot quicker than first predicted and we were on our way after like I said, an hour and a half..
I unfortunately happened to be on the correct side to see the gory scene as we passed it... it wasn't very nice.. but thankfully they had covered most of it up.
So we got through to Cannes ...
... that we saw some fireworks while they played cheesy European music in the backround.
Didn't do much. Hung around this morning and got to pet my adoring cat fans and went swimming. Oh! And I finished Dracula, which is a very good book, I recommend it.
After our lazy morning we walked around the coastal town. Dad and I took a quick dip in the Mediterranean and finished it off with the cold water from the wash-off-all-the-sand station.
