The next day got up and had another amazing meal in the hotel. Went to pay the bill and it was way more then I thought it was going to be, I made some kind of concern and the took $20 off the bill so in the end I paid $120 for a great night with 2 great meals plus a bath. caught the early train 10am up to the Nikko area. went to KInugawa first to do a fairly tourist thing where I went down the rapids in a traditional Japanese boat. I was the only westy on the boat and the whole tour was done in Japanese so I did not get any of the history and or jokes that were being told on the 30 minute trip down the river. A small note on the Shinjuku district: this is the Tokyo I had in mind when visiting Japan. It's FULL of people everywhere, neon signs and life all over. No order, no calmness just pure city chaos, I really need to come back here next weekend on my return to Tokyo and give this place a proper look.

Walking all around this town yesterday, about 10km walk in total, with various historical sights mainly about the young samurai's that committed mass suicide here at the time of the civil war (1868). Also quite impressive is the Tsuruga-jo castle, totally destroyed but rebuilt for us to visit.
