... i.e. The place where you will best thrive as a human being - not just exist or get by - truly thrive. That's a tough one - Tim was first to share his view with the group.

The rest of the group stayed down by the lake for a bit - we walked back to the top with Jamie. She gave us a couple of Jackson restaurant recommendations that, sadly we just won't have enough to time to take her up one ...

We got to Hidden Falls and enjoyed the rushing water of the river, the falls, and the rock climbers just to the left of the falls. We continued to hike higher and higher, taking the Cascade Canyon trail. It was a long, steep climb. When we got a mile or so back into the Canyon, we saw a bull moose with a big rack standing in the river chewing on grass. What a sight! The views of the canyon walls and steep mountains weren't too shabby, either!

... and despite the subject he ‘rocked’ at it! He pointed things out that we would never have noticed and answered any questions we had, no matter how ‘rock’ n roll they were!

Once across the lake we ascended through a pine trail that eventually led us to Hidden Falls, a thundering cascade of water from all the ice melt in the ranges above.

At the end of the walk ...

This day was the complete epitome of why I came on this trip. While I can do snowshoeing, cross country skiing and downhill skiing in Massachusetts, I can never replicate the day I had today. Today was the trip to the Jackson Hole Iditarod Sled Dog Tours. This full day activity began at 8:10 am, when we were picked up at the TSS and driven southwest of Jackson into the Granite Creek Canyon. After an introduction about the dogs and the company, we were brought into another room to make ...
