Up at half 6 this morning! We donned the American Fried shirts and began setting up ready for the day ahead! It was really overcast and misty and pretty miserable, there was no one around it was like a ghost town. We started to get our first customers at about 9am, so it was a long morning! On the plus side though the weather had changed for the good and the sun came out! Drue informed us that today is always a ...

... Drive is spectacular! We had a beer in the famous Ettamogah pub before heading back to the van. Then we had a lovely walk along the beach front but got caught out with the rain!! Soaked!!!! The girls were all going to see "The Naked Magicians" however I didn't fancy that so met up with steph and we got our drink on at Mon Komo, she shot off and Will joined then we caught up with the girls. Such a funny night. Going to miss this gang.

A few beers and the strange sight of Santa going around the streets as well as some very well decorated apartments overlooking the beach. We can't get our heads around the heat and Christmas!

... I passed "Australia Zoo" on my right, but unfortunately it was closed. I'm sure they would have a koala or two! I hung a right at Landsborough, and started heading East towards Caloundra, where Gareth had suggested Dicky Beach camp site as a good stopping point. The riding was really good here - tailwind, downhill (I guess those mountains really were high), sun behind me - absolutely fantastic to be able to slip onto the big gear ring and ...
