Beautiful hotel. We have stayed at a number of different hotels in Brisbane CBD and this Hotel is one of the best. Unlike a lot of hotels, children under 12 get to stay for free when they use existing bedding, that is always a bonus for parents. The lovely staff were wonderful on check in and even upgraded our room at no extra charge from 1 double bed to 2 double beds to accommodate my children. The aroma coming from the Cafe was very enticing, we're looking forward to trying it out during our stay.

      ... 20th.

Thereafter, I chatted with Ulli (my dear German friend who lives in Switzerland for many years). She has spent a year in Australia. Work & Travel. Thereby, totally forgot that Elke (also a very close friend who currently helps my mom with computer questions - thank you so much!) has also spent around 3 months in Brisbane. Anyways, I have asked Ulli for advice. So I got some good recommendations and went to bed in the hope the new day will bring good prospects.

... He then had the best afternoon hanging with the grown-ups, perfecting his sitting while'chatting'; trying to join in conversations & really belly laughing when others were. He even learnt that if he laughed loudly when no one else was he could get other people's attention... That kept him entertained for hours! It was a perfect afternoon; hanging out & having fun with friends - exactly what this trip is ...

4am in the morning here in Brisbane - and WE can't sleep, having been awake since 3am.
Leaving Los Angeles at 9pm Sunday night , losing a day, and a 2 hour layover at 5am yesterday in Fiji, before a 4 hour flight to Brisbane.... our body clocks are really out of 'whack'.

... on the train who knew a lady G know from Ipswich days, so we took photos etc! It really is a small world and my husband really is a networker extraordinaire! We managed a quick trip in our street to find fresh fruit and groceries. Had Jambon pasta and yummy pastries for dinner. Nobody speaks a word of English so it's an immersion program for us. We played ...
