Beautiful hotel. We have stayed at a number of different hotels in Brisbane CBD and this Hotel is one of the best. Unlike a lot of hotels, children under 12 get to stay for free when they use existing bedding, that is always a bonus for parents. The lovely staff were wonderful on check in and even upgraded our room at no extra charge from 1 double bed to 2 double beds to accommodate my children. The aroma coming from the Cafe was very enticing, we're looking forward to trying it out during our stay.

      Arrived Brisbane

We arrived at the Terminal at ten pm for a connecting flight to Singapore, but we were the only two transferring to this flight. The terminal was deserted and a security guard had to call a team of Immigration and Customs Personnel Dow to process through to the flight. A bit disconcerting. But we boarded safely and took off just before ...

... and boarded. Up up and away!

The flight was a bit rough and the seats weren't the most comfortable but it was only for 1 hr 30 mins so it wasn't that bad. The flight cost $99 with baggage, the baggage limit is 20kg. We did not need a passport as we weren't flying out of the country. There was a lot of people on the flight, ...

... last man was someone who wanted to take his large hand luggage bag onto the plane and had been told he could not as it was too heavy. QANTAS allow 7 kg for hand luggage. His bag weighed 35 pounds (almost 16 kg). He did not look too happy as he slowly removed items from his bag. Neither did it seem to register with him that he was delaying the flight as his bag still had to be loaded in the hold.

However, we all made it on board around midnight (2 am for us) ...

... my resume to cafes, retail shops, everywhere and applying online, made me appreciate how lucky I was to get the job in Sydney so quickly. I'll get one, things always sort themselves out in the end.

I've been to the Brisbane Botanical gardens like the one in Sydney. I don't think it's as big but I've more warmed to the outdoors lifestyle and appreciated it more than what I did in ...
