... China has spent at least a billion dollars in port infrastructure. An entirely new terminal complete with an eight lane highway was constructed to the nearest city; Tanggu. Upon arrival, it took some time for the port officials to clear the ship so guests could depart on their overnight trips into Beijing. This process was additionally hampered as only one official was present on the pier to check everyone’s papers. The rest of the port officials ...

      ... morning.

Tianjin had a completely different vibe from Beijing as it felt less touched by Western Culture; wherever we walked Chinese people would be stopping taking our photos.

Anyway after a bit of trouble looking for our hostel we eventually found it. However it turned out that even though we had booked it online, and had a reservation number, the hostel had no record of us. Whilst the girls had an interesting ...

      ... day of more paperwork
tomorrow and then the three hour drive back to Beijing. Jaden fell
asleep with no issues at all. He loves having a bottle and you just have
to lay him down and he sucks his thumb and is out like a light. Loving
this little man to bits already. We will try and send some pictures
later but for now its off to bed.
Thanks for all your prayers and support. Today was an awesome day. One I will never forget.

      Cheers

... the first 9 holes and had a couple of bar-b-que (BBQ) spikes (nice), a drink of tea or juice (free) and a beer. I suspect we had a beer only because G asked me if I wanted one and, thinking he did, I said OK. Ah well.

After a few more holes G asked if I wanted some watermelon at next stop. There was a little café manned by two staff where G & I ate some watermelon until there were two left. (I had asked, in Chinese, if the watermelon ...
