I was pretty hungry at that point, since the octopus jerky didn't really suffice as a suitable breakfast, so my Dad, my cousin, and I went into a noodle shop which turned out to be a chain. To Sapporo on Peach Airlines
... Perhaps Otaru would have better weather. Best Western was really convenient i.e 5 minutes walk right across the station and though it was too early to get our rooms , we check in our luggage and we were off to Otaru. But decided to check out the trains to Furano for the next morning.

Back to big city
... buffet one downstairs. THe view was nice, though the rice and dishes were only so-so. The guide said only Japanese eat there, while most tourists have breakfast at the buffet.
