Today I visited three other famous places in New York. I started the day by visiting the Natural History Museum, my favourite exhibit was 'The World's largest Dinosaurs'. Historical Traveler Reviews Renaissance New York Hotel Times Square New York City
Great hotel experience!
Got a super deal on this hotel through Priceline. The hotel is right in the heart of Times Square, but heard zero noise from the street even though we were facing Broadway. Our room was an average size, although probably large by NYC standards and the marble bathroom was a nice touch. Concierge was very helpful. Restaurant has a great view, but could only eat there for breakfast as they book up fast for dinner. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again in the future!
Great location, great room!!!
Fresh, clean, spacious (for NYC) room. Great location with Times Square, theaters, restaurants to coffee shops, etc. right ourside.
Short walk to Rockefeller center, Fifth Avenue shopping. Excellent security and service. Like a few hotels lounges in this area, stop by for cocktails wehre the lounges overlook the lights of Broadway.
Excellent Hotel!!!
This was our first time visiting New York City. Our room was excellent!!!! The staff was very polite and very informative. We've decided the only way we'll visit again is if we can stay at the Renaissance. I highly recommend them!!!!
Great Hotel Experience!
Had wonderful vacation staying at Renaissance Hotel. Extremely convenient location for walking to Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave, & Times Square; many subway lines ; restaurants , etc. Great base for touring all sections of NYC.
Room on 21st floor was totally quiet, clean, comfortably sized, with large, modern bathroom and downtown view. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Would definitely go again.
Absolutely wonderful hotel
This was our first visit to New York City, and it was a great one! The hotel was right in the middle of Times Square. Perfect location. The staff was all very helpful and polite. We had no worries the whole time we were there. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was out ot this world. The room and bathroom was very clean, which was a big thing for us. The one thing that amazed us was how quiet the hotel and our room was considering it sits right in the "heart of the action". We had a wonderful time, and we will be planning another trip soon!!
Two Friends in New York
My friend and I went to NY for a weekend and stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Times Square. The staff was great from the time you entered the hotel until we left and each time we went out and came back in. The food was very good at the Foley restaurant in the hotel. Tavern on the Green was a great place to eat and the decor was very interesting. We saw all the major sights and the bus drivers were very helpful, telling us what bus to take and also the New York people were so helpful on telling us how and where to go. Broadway show-Gypsy was very good and shopping at the Century 21 was the place to shop, across from Ground 0, and I loved shopping on the street vendors. All and all we had a wonderful trip and thanks to Trip Advisor for sending me an e-mail each week for months so that when we (as 2 little ladies) arrived in NY I knew where to go and how. Thanks, June & Sherry in Alabama
Loved the Renaissance, NYC Times Square!
Absolutely beautiful spot to stay! Right in the middle of Times Square, close to all Broadway shows etc. Staff was extremely attentive and polite. Plan to revisit next year!
In the centre of things
Spend our first every trip to the USA at the Renaissance Times Square for a 3 night stay.Hotel is right in the heart of Times Square and is very good with nice clean rooms. However on the third night there was a problem with the hotel boiler system and no-one had hot water so we could not shower/bathe, expected a discount or at least an apology on checking out, but was told 'it was just one of those things!'Omar on the concierge desk, and the doormen/porters are all very helpful, particulary Omar, however the reception staff were a bit unfriendly. Overall the hotel is nice, but overpriced for the facilities it offered, as the hotels in the area are all quite close, I am sure you could get a better serviced hotel for a cheaper price a few blocks from Times Square.
Am in love with the NY Renaissance!
I absolutely loved the NY Renaissance. Have stayed in N.Y. on many occassions and experienced the charm and the quietness of the Renaissance. I have been in many other 3 and 4 star hotels in NY but by far, this is my favorite hotel. The staff are great and the doorman is wonderful.
Great Hotel
This was our first trip to NYC, and after researching accommodations and reading reviews, we were really anxious about what our hotel would actually be like. Our travel agent found a super deal which was $360 for two nights, two double beds and two breakfasts each day, including all taxes. Valet parking was $38 per day. The hotel, located on the 7th Avenue side of Times Square, meet and exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, spacious, soundproof and well-appointed. The deep soaking tub in the marble washroom was heavenly, with lots of hot water and good pressure. The staff, from the valets to the concierge, were polite, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, a bit pricey, but everything costs a little more in NYC. There was a subway station just outside the hotel. On our last day, we were 10 minutes late getting back from the museum (we took the wrong train and ended up in Queens), and we were worried we would be charged for an extra day of parking, but they said no problem. We couldn't have had a better experience, and would definitely stay here again.
