... wonder what Cate would think of the things I’ve been up to. I think she’d totally support and understand my wish to spend Christmas and New Year in Europe. In fact Cate was always very supportive of things where my happiness was involved.

Feeling quite out of place we downed our drinks and began to head back to the station. ... a magnificent panorama over the Persian Gulf. There are notices in the hotel to not leave the balcony door open because of the moisture in the air causing issues in the room. Patsy opened it briefly to have a closer look of the view from the balcony and within seconds the large mirror in the room completely steamed up as well as Noel's glasses again. We have never experienced this sort of thing before.
