    It's about 7 hours from Manchester to Dubai. Because it's half term there were quite a lot of children on the plane, some of them quite young. The plane was packed and for the most part it was very peaceful although when one of the young children started crying it inevitably set another off!     ... were pulled from line and shown to a waiting area where we were served Arabic coffee, dates, and sweets. It seems Gerald bought special tickets that gave us exclusive access with only twenty people. We bypassed all the lines, got the elevator to the 148th floor with a thirty minute viewing complete with food and drink.The general ticket doesn't come this high.
