    It's hard to believe that in 48 hours I will be on a plane headed for my first European adventure that will be an approximate total of at least over 11,000 miles! I know that isn't quite a big deal. I've met many people in my travels who have been "across the pond". However, I don't know many that have had an itinerary like this.

    ... Vaughan. This entailed a large side of slaw, a big basket of hushpuppies and the rest of the tray filled with chopped pork. Very vinegary!

    Apparently there are two schools of thought on how to prepare the perfect barbecue, one is the vinegar approach, the other is using ketchup. This restaurant definitely lived and died by the first as by the time we left my lips felt like shrivelled prunes.

    We decided to head to Charlotte, North Carolina today. We were not sure what to expect. We have really started to enjoy the adventure of going into an area we are unfamiliar with and tripping over local "treasures".
