... loving the meals I recall so fondly from 20 (!) years ago. Brynn loved the dirty rice, Annie loved the ribs, and Katie loved the smoked sausage. There was a fire caused by lightning in the 1960's completely destroying the building apart from the columns, which the present owner lovingly restored to their former glory, in the new house. Gondolas: We learned that there are 433 gondolas in Venice, not all of which are underway at any given time. Our visit to the gondola fabrication and repair yard gave us a much greater appreciation for the vessel and their operators.
