Minutes later, I noticed that the traffic barely moved and heard the sound of sirens. It occurred to me that the volume of water Ondoy dumped all over Metro Manila must have been heavy. At that moment, I ...

Next is Flora's work, she works the graveyard Monday-Friday so this affects our eating habits as well!! I try to emulate her waking hours and eating times as much as possible so that we get more time together but I must say its a bit tougher than simply arriving here and changing timezones, still we seem to be managing ok but I am rapidly reading my stockpile of charity books I brought with me, but there is hope I also brought ...
... Rest Your Love on Me" by Andy Gibb and Olivia Newton-John is playing on the radio. Kimberly's chilly in this internet cafe and she says, "I have a dehydration headache from all that airplane time." It looks like a beautiful day, although I bet it will also be hot and humid. We're here at the tail end of the rainy season, so the sky could open up on us at any moment. Hope you're all doing well at home. I love you guys! Love, Mark
Manila, Philippines markimberly... and were so surprised that there were very few people on the streets. It was so far, the most relaxing stroll we took since we started this trip, and we were glad we did it on our last night in China. I told Ms. Chen that I wanted to buy her a drink as I really wanted to thank her for being my translator, negotiator, guide, and most of all, a good friend who patiently stood beside me during the duration of our six-day trip. She readily agreed and we went to the hotel bar, ordered our ...
Manila, Philippines jockey_8128... great poet and philosopher A. Schwarzenegger...'I'll be back' (in precisely 1 week I hope. Apart from being well hung...over, the winding and scary road to Banaue didn't do me any favours as the whiteys kicked in a few times. Arrived after a few hours and was immediately pounced on by a tour tout. Him being far too aggressive for my liking and me being half cut still I told him to **** off for 15 minutes (in a nice way of course...and with no spectators) which he promptly did ...
Manila, Luzon, Philippines rolls... Beijing because I have friends there. To go to Beijing from Changchun, there are many options to choose from. You can go by air which is the easiest way, about two hours and half. Air China or China Southern can be an ideal airline. You have to consult your travel agents if so, or it depends on your style and purpose while staying in China. You can also take by bus going to Beijing. There are many buses also going to and from Beijing. All you ...
Quezon City, Luzon, Philippines rbenotapa... and it doesn't look like a razor job. Later I noticed there is some demand for gents like him; one salon further along the same road (Quinno ave) had a paper want-advertisement for a "Gay hairdresser." I've noticed lots of such ads: "waitress: 20-25 and personable" "salesgirl 20-22 with experience" and I even heard these sorts of advertisements on the public metro which played some radio station. They don't seem to have Human Rights Commissions here. I escaped the downpour.
Manila, Philippines fatduck... been asking myself are, Am I ready to leave the Philippines? Where do I begin to continue to process the magnitude of the two years I have spent here? What will I do after PC? The list of question's go on and on and I will not bore you with the many internal dialogues I have been having lately. I will say though, that I have recently been seeing my beautiful and sometime not so beautiful Philippine surrounding's as I did during my first few months here. Where else will I stay out ...
