The views from here are spectacular. We overlook the snow covered mountains and it is surreal. We’re sitting in the main lodge room at 9:30 and the sun is gleaming off the mountaintops. I will be attaching pictures of the views from here. We were able to go out for a hike before dinner, but since we ...

Very cold drizzly day. We went on deck several times to see glaciers, but it was fogged in until late in the afternoon when we were finally able to see them. Stood out in the drizzle and viewed Marjorie glacier and saw several calvings (pieces breaking off.) It's quite spectacular to see the calving. That's what everyone waits for.

... glaciers named for East Coast universities, hence the name. On the way we saw a couple of pods of porpoises. I took about 200 pictures of them, but they were very fast and didn't come out of the water very much so there aren’t really any pictures to share. We saw another Humpback whale as well. Later we saw a number of sea otters, many of which were carrying babies. The fjord was full of Harbor Seals as well. We spent about an hour in ...

Today was a long day (10 hours) of riding on a train from Denali to Whittier. Even though the scenery was nice it got to be a very long ride however it ended with us going through a couple of very long tunnels and upon exiting the last one we saw our cruise ship. We boarded and a couple hours later had embarked. We spent the evening starting to familiarize ourselves with the ship and settling ...
