At Souzan it was starting to get colder as we transferred to the gondola ropeway. I had mentioned to mum that we were meant to be able to see Mt Fuji from the half way point in the gondola. There are many other touristy things to do around the lakes and it depends on what you want to do. There are lots of museums and crafty things all around the lakes. Its worth going just for the view. I recommend staying at Koe house japanese style which is super close to the station.

All in all it was a great weekend-plus-a-day. Back in Tokyo, I thought "I'm glad that I can sleep in my own bed tonight". Hah, my OWN bed. Well, that's definitely a first! ...
