... can describe what you see, when driving. The towns, the villages perched on the mountain side, the streams running along side the road side. The old house and church here and there, it was unbelievable. To feel free and be away in clean air is wonderful.

... and Karrie has invited me to visit them in northern California. They grow Pinot grapes I think that's code for vineyard along with a slew of other fun people. The air was thin and it makes people giddy. Lots of great photos to come. A remote plane kept whizzing by and Steven said it was a weather drone---kind of neat. There are live cams all over giving people a heads up on the visibility from the top. After several hundred photos, it was time to head down and find lunch. ...

... me and I found a great assortment of olives and fruit for my room. The first winter Olympics were held in Chamonix in 1924. The air is crisp, clean and cool. Beautiful!!! Chamonix is famous for its alpine skiing but the streets are full of hikers with their back packs, cyclists, mountain climbers a few hang gliders and me. Love it. I've found the local real estate office and have found a LITTLE chalet for - 675,000.00€ that would make a nice summer escape from chateau ...
