We are so happy to be travelling in the off season. Again, we got an upgrade here in Trento. This was planned as a rest time with 5 nights and a chance to view Stages 17 and 18 of the Giro d'Italia bike race. We had booked an OK room for Euro 105 per …

We also met up with Emmanuela, who is studying at university in Trento and lives here Monday to Friday with 2 girlfriends. They all travel back home to Trentino for the weekends. After lunch we had a look around one of the beautiful piazza's, a very quick spot of shopping, an ...

DAY 5 We left Pfarrwerfen early in the morning for Innsbruck, Austria. We ambled through Ottoburg, the Old Town of Innsbruck, enjoying apple strudel and espresso in an outdoor cafe. A pedestrian bridge over the River Inne was festooned with padlocks with the names of lovers inscribed on them. From town you could see a ski jump, undoubtedly from the Winter Olympics of years ago. The rolling green countryside through Austria had beautiful church ...
