... I may have even managed to watch some Turkish TV or somesuch........... And, next morning, we hit the road and headed for Lake Garda. We arrived fairly early and whilst the first camp was chockers, we high-tailed it to another we'd passed nearby and got there before the other 4 vans who'd also arrived in the queue at fhe last place. Nice camp and we got a good spot just above the "gravel beach", and as it was still early, we unloaded the bikes and cycled along ...

We rode through the Adige River Valley between two massive dolomite mountain ranges carved by glaciers. Apples, pears, grapes also lined our journey. Both the vines and the trees were ladened to bursting with fruit. Pictures ...

Cavalese. Unfortunately the gondolas at Cavalese are closed on Monday and
Tuesday. Rained a bit on the way back. Stopped for strudel/gelato/cappuccino in
Predazza and some grocery shopping. Rained even ********* the last leg back to
    the campsite.

We’ve been on the road in Europe one month today.

They watch very closely what you eat here !

A travel blog entry by daleville on Sep 06, 2014

... awayfrom the buffet table the elderly owner approached me and informed me " this is not for picnic" ! My reply should have been 'Just watch me eat it now'. We could have taken offence at this but instead we both had a good laugh at this over the next few days as we passed this hotel quite a few times.

We left this hotel after two ...
