Sue thought she could break her gluten freeness but when it was put in front of her she couldn't and ended up with a tuna salad. It was much nicer than pizza. We had ice cream after even though it was not on our menu as the waiter made a mistake. We were sitting with an Australian couple and were ...

We got settled in and had our dinner of a bread roll with spread with took ...

... is really the only way to go to Amalfi, or any other town on the coast, by bus is not as picturesque, you get a real feel and attachment for this area when you view it from the water, it is stunning countryside. I still have difficulty in my head with how they built all the roads/ bridges/ tunnels and cantilevers off the rock face. Amalfi is a bustling little tourist village and judging by the crowds it ...

... that looks down upon Praiano and the sea. Just when I felt my heart had reached zone 5, I passed an old man, at least in his 70’s, ambling down with a scythe, obviously returning home after working in an olive grove all day. Stairs are a way of life here – no need for a stair master! I wonder what happens to people with bad knees? I bet there is lots of work for the Orthopods!

On the way to Rome we stopped off at Pompeii for a bucket ...
