We decided to queue up for the audio guild instead. We were queuing in the sun once again so I got Niomi to stand in the shade. She went and bought us some ice cold water and of course a gelato. It wasn't the best gelato but it did cool us ...
Since we didn't have enough time to visit Vatican City yesterday we hopped onto the shuttle bus, then trained there this morning. First we caught a glimpse of the Vatican Museum and its massive line of people waiting to go in. We couldn't believe how long the line was. We estimated about 2000 people. There were so many con artists along the line trying to sell tickets that "make you priority" so you don't have to stand in the queue. Every two seconds ...
... and had some beer with large, delicious, green olives and peanuts, smoked a cigar, and watched the world go by for about one hour. I then walked back to the hotel, and took a short nap.
