... this was really cool. I had also seen a couple of them on the side of the road from the bus.
We had great timing as when we decided to get on the bus, school had just got out and the bus was full of rude teen-ages. The aisles were full of people standing and all the kids just yelling screaming and being teen-ages so we got off in Positiono to grab a coffee, look around and catch the next bus. Again it was stunning, it is hard to describe and we kept asking ...
... cotton dresses here were hard to resist buying...so I didn't resist...lol Next was to travel along theAmalfi coastline to Positano...narrow winding road, with sheer drops and views that were spectactular. Italian drivers are definitely crazy...there are no rules...anything goes...park anywhere...double park ....or just stop in middle of road...anything goes....sitting in front....need nerves of steel ...or just closing yr eyes helps...or ...
... because I thought it would be more fun to take the ferry to Positano than the bus. We didn't get to do or see much in Salerno, but I did find a suitcase that was 50% off. Not quite sure about it, but we'll see. The ferry was about 70 minutes and pretty small. Rowan made friends with a local guy, Mario. ... bits we were keeping like electrical gadgets and costumes etc. checked in to the hotel, which is stunning and looks right over the bay of Naples to vesuvius. Decided we would get rid of the car today rather than stress about it tomorrow. Went to reception and asked if they knew of any scrap yards. We got approx 100 questions on why we would drive to naples just to scrap the car, luckily we showed some photos on Duncs ...
