A travel blog entry by rolandandlinda on Aug 18, 2014

Monday 18 August

A cool day with on and off drizzle. Time to move on from the Meuse and
head towards the Vosges and the National Parks of Alsace Lorraine, north of
Mulhouse. Thought about stopping in a campsite in the Lorraine National Park
but decided to keep heading south, through Nancy and on to the Ballons des
Vosges National Park. Good choice. Ended up at Camping les Jonquilles, with ...

We checked in to a caravan park and plugged ourselves back in, showered, and made very good use of the washing machine and dryer. It was Bastille day so that evening we followed the crowds into town and stood around the lake waiting for the fireworks. The weather was just perfect for it and the fireworks were incredible and it really was a great way to end the week we have had in this ...

... a pub to watch the end of the tour, 4 beers later we decided to ride back up to our hotel. 400 vertical metres. With the beers under the belt it made it an interesting ride. We then caught up with Dave Hollicks and Marc Ransome, showered and headed back to Munster for dinner at la dolce vita, yet again fantastic meal and very reasonably priced. Now time for bed, watched Germany defeat Argentina in the soccer.....Sleep ...
