... The journey has been easy. Unbelievably easy. Sat nav helps (have I mentioned this?). Oh boy does sat nav help. But from the moment we left J & C's the driving has been a doddle. campsite a bit disappointing compared with what we have been at on our travels so far. Not overly friendly, seems more focussed towards French clientele. The surrounds and scenery are beautiful, mountains as far as can be seen. Must be excellent for winter ski season too. Hot still. Summer has certainly hit! ...

... the area each little hamlet has built an Aire and provides services for us to use, desperately trying to encourage us to stay a while. We are going to, it's lovely. Clive's pinged the only thing that appears to be open each afternoon. A bar selling German beer! The other shops appear to have just been abandoned. Today I head off to do a spot of boating in France, leaving Pete to the delights of the English weather and croquet. I will meet Lachlan and Victoira, Jeff and Gerda from Canberra, and Heather from The Gold Coast, in Burgundy, northeast France. ... we got a big shower and the rest of the day the sun and rain took their turn. We arrived at 5:10 pm at Bellerive-sue-Allier which actually is just over the bridge from Vichy.
