... Jardin des Plantes, very close to the railway station, with some huge examples of topiary and slightly bizarre artwork. What was noticeable about the garden, considering the proximity to the station, were the lack of down and outs using park benches as a bed as may have been expected - the one we saw seemed happy sat outside the station café drinking an espresso. Our first super long train ride of the trip. The ride from Paris to Nantes seemed to take more time than physically possible. Once in Nantes we had a layover before our next train ride and were able to explore a absolutely gorgeous park. You can look at the photos and let your imagination fill in the rest.
