Had my breakfast in my room and finished my diary and blog. Lilli had been across to the station to but tickets for the next stage of our journey to Freiburg. The lift at platform 9 was not working so we had to take the bags to the top of the stairs, then go back down for the bike. The bike carriage was already filling up but we managed to find a space. I helped a lady with a seat on wheels as she had become tangled by all the bike wheels. The change of platforms at Oldenburg went ...

    Lucerne to Boppard via heidleberg

Left hotel on time and headed off back into France to avoid the swiss/German border as very officious. Instead headed into France , much less so. I was typing it into Notes on iPad and must have hit a delete somewhere as at least ...

The day started off rainy, but we decided to go tour Freiburg anyway. We were accompanied by Rudy and Conny's niece, Nicole and her friend Ariel. They are traveling Europe for 10 weeks and are staying in Linkenheim for a couple of weeks. Even though it rained all day, we saw all of our historic sights, took pictures and did a little shopping. When we returned to Linkenheim we were treated to ...

... Altarpiece. Another beautiful painting was the Virgin in a Rose Garden by Schongauer. The colors of both artworks were gorgeous. Of all the places we visited, I would enjoy living in Colmar.

That evening we enjoyed a farewell dinner on the Mani. We had a wonderful trip and hope to sail with Viking again. We arrived in Basel, Switzerland after dinner. Our flight left the next morning at 7:00 a.m. It was a short night and a long flight!
