... amp; shallots poured on top. I could have eaten a barrel of these! Now came the small fried smelts, delicious! Then the fish soup was served in a beautiful French white tureen. Accompanied with sliced baguettes that you smear with the garlic mustard & top with cheese & put them in the soup. The taste of the fish soup was mind bogglingly delicious, I kept eating to guess all the ingredients.

... La Citadelle- an old fortress that was used to protect Saint-Tropez back in the 1600’s. I jumped on a tour and learnt all about its history. Turns out it was used as a fortress until 1873 and now it’s just a historical monument that will soon house a museum of local history!.

Sunday we had to wake up even earlier. We met at the bus at 8:30 to head to St. Tropez. This trip was optional and we shared the bus with a group of students from Indiana and Wisconsin. First we were taken to a beach fairly far away from St. Tropez, based on my best guess on my map I think it was the Plage de l'Escalet, which sounds right based on the amount of stairs we had to climb.
