... bought a house here. The port is picture-postcard perfect, the backstreets charming and the boutiques chic. The fine beaches lie outside the town. We walked the cobbled streets noting that very little opens here, as in most parts of Europe before 10:00. Eventually we all decided to sit and watch the 'beautiful people' and to do so we needed to stop into a restaurant and have coffee (8:00 euro for a cappuccino = $12:00). This morning we woke up early to find the Journey at anchor at the millionaires' playground, St. Tropez, or Saint-Trop as the French nickname it. As usual, the weather was warm and sunny. We had not been to St-Trop before so we were looking forward to exploring this gorgeous piece of coastline.
