A gentleman in the town hall across from it struck up a conversation with us and said it took 12 generations of builders to complete the structure. The town had a nice semi urban vibe to it and I noticed it is on the main train line between Florence and Rome. Easy to revisit without a car. :-)

We hadn't had any lunch so i eagerly tucked into the entree. One of the Americans was interested in what i was eating.
