We are near the Trebbia where Hannibal had a major battle. Of the 34 or 37 elephants he set out with, many had already died from the cold and exhaustion and only one it is believed survived this battle. After a day like today, I can understand why.
Following the game, a tour of Parma showed us another beautiful northern Italy city with an Old Town City Centre. Dinner was arranged by David our driver at a traditional pizzeria – David has been driving for 20 years and has all the connections we need, especially in Italy.
