Day 1: I get moving early and go across to the little cafe in the square for the BnB provided breakfast of tea or coffee and a croissant. They have free wifi which works. Yes! The BnB wifi is useless! After breakfast I head off to the boat pier and get a day ticket for the Middle lakes area. 15 euro and can be used to get to Villa Carlotta, Bellagio, Menaggio and back to Varenna. We bid farewell to Simone and Silvia, and then once again sat on the hotel patio until about 11 PM, and packed up to head home the next ...

... and it was so beautiful. I looked across to where mum dad and flee were and they were laughing and jumping around. So today I got engaged!!! The rest of the walk I spent 40% staring at my ring, 40% saying baby I love you, 10% on some sort of engagement photo shoot with mum and flee, and 10% actually looking. Lucky for me we had come last time.
We eventually made it back home on the ferry, up the cobblestone footpaths and winding mountains and had ...
