Another long bus ride, but the lovely green scenery made the time pass quickly. The bus company i used this time is punctual, and arrives on time.
The first day out starts out as a lovely day, so plenty of walking to be done. Bordeaux is so different to Lyon. The buildings seem to be a lot older. This little car gave it all on our 3,100 kilometer journey through Italy, Spain ...

They've created a pedestrian promenade along the waterfront, which is where we were fortunate enough to be docked, right in the middle of everything.

At one time, this area consisted of warehouses.

But now, there are lawns for picnics, colorful flower beds, lots of outdoor restaurants, ...

... was empty when we arrived but while we were there 2 bus loads of Japanese tourists arrived so this assured us that it must be OK. At least tomorrow night we will be able to understand a little more and practice our very rusty Spanish.
Thanks for the emails. We thinks of all the people reading our blog and watch the numbers grow daily. The tour director knows what tomorrow is and the girls are keen to have the bus sing to me.
