... It is so frustrating. Anyway, we had a bit of a wander and once more I was fascinated at the canal perched high above the vineyards and crops 30-40m below.... Also had a great chat to a Dutch couple last night who had been to Aust and also this morning another young Brit/German couple on a couple of BMW cycles who had actually been to Aust and got citizenship, but after almost 12 months and no job, as aeronautical engineers, gave up and went home. ... 1st September

Up early to take a picnic breakfast into the Black Mountains for amazing views in all directions. Unfortunately low cloud meant we had to stop by a lovely lake down from the top instead but still very picturesque while we watched the clouds swirling around the peak above us. In the end we made the decision to come back down although we did wonder whether if we had been patient the clouds were lifting?
