... I'll get int SJU tonight at 8. Get my bag (hopefully) and then find a motel room. Tomorrow I need to find a proper present for Devon's birthday. I'm on a flight that makes you have to stop at Antigua and Tortola, so I assume by the time i get in at 8, i'll be tired. Not to mention hungry. Other than that, all is well. Not sure what this trip will ultimately mean to me.

... list. However yesterday, to my dismay i found out from somebody thats its 4 hrs hike from Laudat one way.. so total of 8 hrs at least. So we backed out to that plan since we dont have alot of time to do that and just decided to visit Trafalgar Falls and just explore Roseau instead. Afterwards, we made our way back to the ship. The sky was still grey but at least, not raining. :) As the ship left the island at 4:00pm, we could see from the top deck the Morne Trois Pitons. We went back on the ship and had lunch in the Dining Room - a Greek salad and Potato Gnocchi in a cheese sauce.

I know that I had a late start and spent the morning watching British programmes on BBC America (it's good to see something familiar). When the temperature went down considerably in the evening (i.e. approximately 26 degrees) I went for a walk around Roseau, Dominica's capital and then made my way to my cousin's flat on the river side for dinner and a long but productive ...

... as we could hear them continuing down the road to other villages. We watched for a few hours and then went back to the boat where we could still hear them tooting and drumming to their heart's content. Amazingly, all of the drummers in all of the groups for all of the days had the very same rhythm. And we heard it in the splash of the water, and the slap of the sails for days after.
