... the 'bridge' in the photo is an animal bridge - allowing the animals to cross over the Highways safely - very cool!

For us - it was a simple change onto Highway 1 East to Calgary which took us through some stunning National Parks, Glacier, Yoho and Banff. We took the change to stop off at Lakes Moraine and Louise which were simply outstanding. Lake Louise is the more famous, but Moraine is higher and surrounded by ...

I must say, I wasn't sure if I was going to blog about this trip but I have been asked by several people so in an effort to not let my fans down, the blog will go on! Hopefully I can tear myself away from the beach long enough to make a few updates along the way!

        Saying Goodbye

A travel blog entry by c36kez on Dec 12, 2014

The dates on this are wrong, it was a weekend in December but to be honest I'm not sure what weekend. My dad approached me and told me that my Oma was not well and if I decided that it was something I wanted to do he would fund a trip to Calgary so that I would be able to say good bye. I was surprised and caught off guard, the idea of saying goodbye to someone before they were dead is foreign to me as it should be. I called my sister who lives in Calgary and although she had plans ...
