... he had the same voucher we found in the stack, ours had the wrong time and the wrong address. We paid too much for the short taxi ride to our hotel, but the guy had no trouble helping me up into his van and we all arrived safe. We will try for a refund from the original company, and know for next time, just call the hotel, maybe they can get it sorted. On the plus side the bathroom is very accessible and I have my own room.

Day 4 Sacre Coeur, Forum des Halle's and beyond
... laugh to myself. Having seen inside and out, photographed it all, there really was not much else to do. I was hoping journey down the hill would be less stressful. I had seen police arrive at the top and then start walking down. Maybe they would clear them on. No such luck. Only now, due to volume of tourists arriving they were off path and at entrance at very base of hill. Once again I stayed close to other tourists and this time got out unscathed. ... Des minuscules reproductions de la Mona Lisa? Des mini arcs de triomphe? Euh… non. Je vous laisse la surprise sur la photo. Et, oui, je sais… Pas besoin de me le dire…rien à voir avec Paris. Des fois, il faut choisir ses combats et là, ça lui faisait TELLEMENT plaisir! Why not! Elle est radieuse, ma petite babouchka! :-)

Bonjour from Paris!
... we got a local red wine and a couple of deserts to share from a cute french bakery, amazing! The baker was kind enough to come in and talk to us about what the deserts were.
We are both dredding the flight home, such a long long long flight arghh, how will we do it, the thought of seeing our family, friends and furry babies will get us through it no doubt. Till tomorrow with plenty more to tell/show you.

Day 3 Guangzhou to Paris
... eating dinner (burgers at Charley Buns in the Place du Marche St Honore) I was transfixed by the sight of a young woman at an outside table eating onion rings, drinking red wine and smoking, simultaneously. Gross!
There is plenty of daylight in the evening with the sun not going down until 9.30 p.m. so we rounded off the day with walk along the Rue de Rivoli and watched the setting sun reflected on the facade of the Louvre.
