The place I wanted to see most in Regina was The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Heritage Centre. I was dying to tour the museum and (let's be fair, here) shop in the gift store.

Beyond the basic curiosity and admiration of the Mounties, I have a special--albeit distant--connection to them. One of my oldest and dearest friends, Amy, is the granddaughter of Arnold Friberg. You know this artist, even if you don't ...

    THURSDAY:

Happy birthday Emma. We are really happy to be here to share her day. It's been a long time since we were able to give her a hug on her birthday. A special birthday. Long trip home! We arrived last night around 8:30 pm, in time to pull up at Roger's mom & dad's to catch the end of his 87th birthday party.

We had dry roads the whole way until yesterday, when we had some rain, then icy roads for about 3 hrs (approaching and after Plentywood). That was a bit hair-raising. They got better as we approached home. The trip there and back is definitely the ...

Sarah started work today at Timmy's in emerald park. She was pretty excited. I could only last a couple of hours before I ended up ringing Meridian for my old job back, they said I could start tomorrow. Bugger!!! Sarah had a really nice day and seems really happy there and she was happy to hear I got a ...
