    ... exhibits. I was chatting with the security guard about how the RCMP Centre was closed and that I was disappointed I didn't get a t-shirt. A woman nearby overheard and said, you should try the shop at the airport.

    Brilliant. So I drove to the small municipal airport and shopped in the gift store located before the security check. And I got an awesome sweatshirt.

    ... and visited Government House. In 1891, the first Lt. Governor, Forget, lived here but, during WW1, the building became a nursing home. It later fell into disrepair and only recently, restored to its former glory. The current Govenor has her office here but the building itself is now a museum, refurbished with original and donated artifacts.     Our hotel for the night will be the Luxor, so a slow drive down the strip until a black pyramid comes into view. We stroll through the hotel and its immense atrium and check in. We are staying in the pyramid portion, not the adjoining towers, so our elevator is referred to as an inclinator, the sensation is a little different.     We were on the road at 7.30am to Keystone where Mount Rushmore is. We had to pay $11 for a parking pass to enter the area. All the businesses were closed up for the winter but it was obvious that the town must get packed during the summer months with all the touristy activities there were to do.
