... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

This is a simple hotel, with simple rooms, with a simple breakfast, that will do job.

After waking late and a leisurely breakfast on the Terrace we venture into Como located at the bottom of the Lake, a few kilometers from Cernobbio. (Before I go any further, I must say say that I have never seen so many elegant, beautifully dressed people. Although we don't do 'fancy' cruises, I have stayed at more than a few luxury resorts and hotels, but none, for many years, in Italy. These women actually had on what the garment trade and ...

... Back to the waterfront we had my best cappuccino of the trip so far – and that isn’t saying much because they were awful in France. This one was good. We can access free wifi by the waterfront so will keep going back there to stay in touch. Back home for a rest and munchy lunch at home and to work things out. Craig has ventured out to find the supermarket. I am resting, ironing and doing the daily entries. We are getting travel routines. In a week we will be in Pistoia ...
