... beside us and the wonderful speech. We love you both. We boarded our plane to Athens at 5pm , however there was a slight hiccup. They didn't give us a seat allocation as their computer system was down. Then when we were waiting to board the people without a seat allocation were put on standby!!!! Fortunately for them, they put us on our flight! We arrived at our hotel called "350 degrees" at 6.15pm. It's very cool with retro decore. See photos below! Off to bed for a big sleep ...

... us in Oz when it's been stamped. I wasn't in favour of going to Vathi municipal office to check everything - luckily Marky was on the ball!!! We would have got home and our papers might not have been legal!!! OMG only in Greece!! We did a bit of shopping then headed back to Frikes for lunch. We had some lovely Greek dips and 1/2 a litre of wine. Somehow Mark was able to drive the ...

There's lots of incense being fluffed around by the priest, with little bells tinkling! Lots of standing up, then sitting down- then up again. The Greeks don't do anything by halves. They genuflect 5 times during each prayer!! We were getting RSI because we just copied everyone else!! ...

... to see what's around the next bend. I'm on a hot, sticky bus now on the road from Athens to Meteora in Northern Greece. Greek music is blaring from a tinny radio; the bus door just slammed shut and my heart surged a little. I'm excited! (Joanne thinks a little crazy.) Our adventure isn't over you see. We've seen Ithaca and while it was the end of the trail for The Odysseus, I'm hoping there is another one out there for us, another Ithaca at the end of the next ...

... guts and offcuts of fish to be thrown overboard. They were so wonderful that we ended up staying at least an hour looking at them and photographing them. We finished the visit by having a plate of chips and a drink at a nice modern open fronted bar, opposite the ferry boarding area. Great people watching area. Worth a visit, but didn't hang around to walk ...
