Finally!!!

Hola. So, this blog has to be short...but I promise another one either tonight or tomorrow evening with more details! OK, so as you know thus far....I went to London. I arrived safely in London at 8:45 a.m. as promised. I then spent the remaining hours in the airport looking around and resting. Unfortunately, I did not sleep at all on the plane :( Anyway, I left London and arrived in Madrid around 7:30 last night. However, guess what wasn't there???? Yep, my bags! I had no clothes, because at...

I UPDATED MY ACCESS CODE FOR MY PHONE NUMBER--IT WAS WRONG Hola. Me Again. Ok--so what was I not able to tell you earlier.... So, I was talking to people about wondering about the mysterious person that would be sitting next to me on the plane overseas. Who would grace my presence for 7 hours? The answer: Walter H. Walter is an elderly man. He is a retired army commander. He often flies overseas. His wife hates London, and he is going with another friend and wife. He also goes to southern Fra...

Toledo

Hello to all, I sent out an update for the blog I entered last night. My mom had to correct me on the access code--so I changed it. It is now updated. I put the US access code instead of Spain's access code. Anyway, it should now work. So, today we went to Toledo. This place is so beautiful. It is hard to believe how gorgeous it really is. It is like a large town has just been dropped down in the middle of nowhere. I must confess I had my doubts when they stopped the bus and told us to use th...

... that we have in English for Jocelyn, so I'm going to send that within the next couple days (Adivina cuánto te quiero).

The area that the Prado museum is in is beautiful, which is the Banco de España, which is the HUGEST bank I have ever seen. It is one of the most popular spots in Madrid for tourism (the area, I mean, not the bank). It is also just down the road from Retiro Park, where I go occasionally to jog. Or at least I think it was. It started looking similar.

Sevilla day 2 then back to Madrid

... is. Some guys came over and yelled at everyone for taking pictures, and said that cathedral was closed for the day and kicked us all out. I was very upset that I couldn’t explore the cathedral and go up the Giralda tower to look out over Sevilla.

We were pretty tired because it got up to at least 97 degrees today, so we went back to the hostel and rested for a bit. I then packed up and got ready for my bus trip. Wiz ...

New Things We've Learnt

... can only answer direct questions and they must be clear, succinct and one at a time. Customer Service isn't when you get shadowed by a sales person in the store, or when one leans over you watching everything you do. When approached by taxi drivers the public bus always seems to be "broken" now matter what city you're in. The smaller the person the further back they want to recline their chair. Whilst your knees are being crushed their legs are dangling off the ground ...

We walked the long road back to the hostel and I hit the pillow at 0530...At 10 am it was time to check out, and I could see the lining of the wallet appear closer and closer - I decided it would be best to do the 6 hour trek to Madrid, but the Germans weren't so keen. We left for Cordoba, and had a quick look around. It could have been a nice place without a prominent hangover from the ...

... their minds. The description of the class was "Spanish literature from 1975" and the professor was going on about stuff written before then. So I doodled. I wrote half a letter. I crossed and uncrossed my eyes, trying to see if the professor's plaid shirt was a secret Magic Eye picture (it wasn't). I decided that if I took the class, I would fall asleep and drool cool shapes like Ferguson from Clarissa Explains it All (what a ...

Lunch in Madrid

It was my third time here but you cannot normally "complete" any European capital. There are always something that you haven't seen, such as the Archeology Museum of Madrid. It hosts many interesting articles from the stone-age but I'm not keen to describe those things here. I'm sure you can find more useful information elsewhere. Instead let me speak about El Menu del Dia, "the menu of ...
