Great location, best value for money and welcome cocktails:) no breakfast, but Starbucks in the next building, and it's Madrid - no way to stay hungry in that city!

Hi everyone, After a long 12 our flight plus 5 hours lay over at JFK, I finally arrived in Madrid. Since I stayed overnight in LAX to catch the early flight, and the second overnight flight from NYC to Madrid, I arrive a bit exhausted, like been working 2 nights in the row. The plane arrived in the morning, so to make the best of time, I started …

This morning we travelled by high speed train from Santiago to Madrid. Our train reached speeds of up to 250kms on the very smooth journey. The only time when it was not smooth was when I had two hot cups of coffee in my hands and was in the process of opening a door when the train lurched. You can guess what happened and I smelled like a coffee …

Our time was short in Madrid arriving in the late evening and leaving around lunch the following day. Just enough time for us to get our last fix of Spanish tapas. After about a forty minute cab ride from the airport we arrived at Hotel Regina. Nestled almost the bustling streets of Salamanca towards the northeast of the historical centre, a part …

      Land ho!

Our plane ride was about eight hours. In that time, I watched movies and looked at how beautiful the sky is from above! It was really cool to see an afternoon, night, and morning all in 7-8 hours. We literally flew the night away! The first thing Emily and I did after we picked up our bags was grab our first "cafe con leche," a …

      Hola chicos :)

We had a long, exhausting, but very exciting day today visiting the Prado Museum and the Queen Sofia Museum, as well as Retiro Park of Madrid (which is comparable to Central Park in NYC).

I have studied Spain's culture and language for many years now, and today it was finally starting to pay off! The most famous …
